Ventana celebrates their 13 year anniversary at the Agora Ballroom this Friday night wsg/Dose, Axioma and Half Raised Heathens!

Thirteen years is a sign of solid longevity in the music business. It means that not only have you done your due diligence as a band but the product that you’re supplying has hit a certain listenership that is loyal and willing to spread the word.

Such is the case for Ventana who will be celebrating their thirteenth anniversary tomorrow night at Cleveland’s Agora Ballroom. Helping the Filthy Hands/V inc. signee celebrate their achievement will be fellow Cleveland heavy metal acts Dose, Axioma and Half Raised Heathens.

Rick ‘St1tch’ Thomas of Mushroomhead fame handles samples, keys and vocals for Ventana who ‘inspires the listeners to turn a negative situation into a positive one’ according to their Facebook page. Thomas is joined by Daniel Fox (drums), Scott Beck (lead vocals), John Sustar (guitar) and Eric Hess who does guest vocals for the industrial metal ensemble.

Ventana performance is an experience to behold. It includes extreme visuals along with high voltage electrical energy that will melt faces.  Thia particular show will include new music from their latest compilation, ‘The Silent Majority’.

Twin brothers Jay (guitar) and Jeff (drums) Morrow highlight the lineup for Dose. The duo began the project in 2013 and brought along Mike Marczak to partner with Jeff in the rhythm section. In 2016 the quartet was completed when Nick Jarrell joined the Dose camp in 2016 to handle the vocals for the Filthy Hands stable Member.

If you have never seen these guys in action you don’t know what you’re missing. They deliver raw power with an in-your-face delivery that is second to none. The Morrow twins and Marczak are exceptional musicians who feed off of each other. Along with Jarrell’s vocal work, Dose will have you bouncing and moshing with their unique blend of metal, groove and thrash.

Aaron Dallinson mans the four string axe and takes care of the vocals for Axioma, a dark metal band made up of members from Keelhaul, Brain Tentacles and Morgue (FR).

Jon Vinson pounds the bass for the Cleveland-based foursome while Cyril Blandino and J Meyers lay down crushing riffs and licks on their six strings.

Half Raised Heathens emanate their self-claimed “Hoodcore” sound over an audience with full intentions of getting them revved up. According to their Facebook bio, they write music that ‘make you want to punch your grandma in the face’.

Signed to Shark Sausage Records, the heavy hitters include Dailey “Fatbak” Davis on lead vocals, Omar Malki, Pat and Terry Faron on guitars and Lee Andrews behind the kit.

AudioFlesh will be performing their DJ services following the show at the after-party as the night continues.

Doors for this event open at 6:00 p.m. with tickets costing $13 in advance and $15 the day of the show.
