Time Traveller set to appear at the Guy C. Meyers Band Shell in Ashland, Ohio on Sunday!

Time Traveller in Concert.

The #1 Moody Blues tribute band, Time Traveller will make it’s first tour appearance at the Guy C. Myers Band Shell within Brookside Park in Ashland, Ohio on Sunday, July 9th at 8:00 p.m. The concert is Free to the public!

I must say whoever is in charge of booking the entertainment for the City of Ashland Summer Concert Series recognizes talent.  Between already scheduling the Chardon Polka Band last week, Time Traveller this weekend and Disco Inferno on Thursday, July 13th; local residents get the opportunity to hear some of the best talent available from the Cleveland, Ohio area.  We’ve had to travel to Cleveland to see these bands onstage in the past.

The veteran band of Cleveland/Canton area musicians in Time Traveller perform throughout the USA at various theaters, concert halls and private events. Time Traveller have performed with Asia, Kansas, Poco, Blue Oyster Cult, Pure Prairie League and Starship, just to name a few bands.  Their tour schedule has increased dramatically due to their exceptional rendition of the music of The Moody Blues.  Having seen Time Traveller perform several times over the last couple of years, I can verify they are the finest band on the planet when it comes to a tribute of The Moody Blues!

Keyboardist, Jeff Costick (Left).

Time Traveller are sometimes backed with an orchestral accompaniment or simply perform as a 7-piece band. Either way, the superb musicianship is astounding live onstage!

Drummer/Percussionist, Marty Zlocki.

Vocalist/Guitarist – Jeff Johnson.

The band features musicians who have vast experience performing in other Progressive Rock bands currently or in the past featuring music by Yes, Genesis and more.  Time Traveller leaves no stone unturned as they astutely represent the heartbeat of The Moody Blues music in melodic and harmonic fashion.

With music stretching back to the 1960’s it’s surprising how many hit recordings The Moody Blues wrote and produced on record.  Time Traveller will amaze you as they cover the vast catalog of songs! With songs such as “Nights In White Satin”, “Wildest Dreams”, “I’m Just a Singer (In A Rock and Roll Band)” and “Tuesday’s Gone” it’s a delightful experience to see and hear this family-friended band perform onstage.

Vocalist – George Yunis.

Bassist, Gary Simmons.

The various members of the band have maintained their professional edge throughout the decades as some of the members hail the most popular bands of the North Coast!  From The Maxx Band, Souvenir, Fayrewether, Cinema Show, Champion and That 80’s Band.  Their individual musical background history alone, represents their musical legacy collectively onstage.

The distinguished passion at which Time Traveller performs in concert is inspiring with passion and flair!

The photos in this article were taken at the Time Traveller show held at the Music Box Supper Club. Between my health issues and a ensuing insane schedule of shows, I must apologize to the band for the lack of timely coverage. The show was superb as usual.

Guitar/Vocals – John Kastelic.

Unfortunately. one of the band members suffered a health issue during the show and had to be taken to the hospital during the performance of “New Horizons”.  After the subsequent scare, the old adage; “The Show Goes On” proved entirely true as Time Traveller dedicated the rest of their show to the suddenly stricken, absent band member. They finishing the show acoustically, even though they never rehearsed the musical tunes acoustically. That speaks volumes for the heart and character of this group of musicians!

The remaining songs were so perpetually delivered the crowd gave the band a standing ovation!

Ironically, after the show, as I drove south on Interstate 71; a van passed my vehicle with the logo on the side of the vehicle reading “New Horizons”. Strange, Indeed. I am glad to say the band member overcame the health issue and continues to perform with the band!

Don’t miss the performance of Time Traveller on Sunday, July 9th at Brookside Park in Ashland, Ohio! You will be amazed. Erica M. Lenhoff and I will be in attendance covering this great night of entertainment.
