The Rust Belt Chronicles: 6 Months of Growth and Success!

The Rust Belt Chronicles has been in existence now for a full six months. I felt this is a good time to update all of our readers with what we’ve done so far.

During our brief history, we’ve  reported some of the top events in Ohio. We covered three nights of The Miss Ohio Pageant in Mansfield, Ohio and featured beautiful photos.

DSC_0727_01The excitement of the races at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with photos and some unexpected interviews of interesting and celebrity personalities, highlighted our weekends throughout the summer months.  Seeing the joy on the children’s faces (who were Cancer survivors) attending the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 (NASCAR), while at the same time feeling- no child should have to go through their ordeal of suffering was a sobering reflection of what those less fortunate go through in life.

The Rust Belt Chronicles has also announced some of the top events between Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio. We now have a writer to cover Columbus and a photographer to assist. Additional help by a photo-journalist to work the North Coast has also been secured.

In September, we hired additional staff which has increased our coverage and daily articles. Since then we’ve witnessed a significant rise in all of our statistics, indicating September will be a record-breaking month.

Also in September, we brought back sports by hiring three dynamic photo-journalists and writers, to include coverage, news, and photos concerning the OSU Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers. Look for sports teams and topics to continue to grow as we seek additional writers to cover Columbus, Cleveland and other regions.

Although The Rust Belt Chronicles has always been heavy into music happenings, we’ve grown in the entertainament category by adding our own photographer and writers. Rock Lines PhotoWe’ve been fortunate to cover rising stars, video premier releases, major music events, special occasions,  and interview internationally known artists. We’ve provided you with CD reviews, occasional Band of The Week along with weekly announcements of Club and Concert events.

During this time, Bethany Brewer has been a mainstay in assisting with her coverage and ideas; while Cleveland professional photographer, Joe Kleon has contributed time and time again his marvelous photography without fail.

The Rust Belt Chronicles has reviewed some exceptional restaurant’s and businesses. We’ve delivered a few controversial events and topics too!

So what’s next for The Rust Belt Chronicles?

First, I must say I’ve never been as busy in my entire working career as I have during the month of September.

I must thank the entire staff for our success as we crushed the statistics for sessions, users and page views within the first 11 days of September compared to all of July or the entire month of August.

As we continue to ad staff for Akron, Mansfield, Columbus, Cleveland and beyond, expect increased coverage and topics of interest to debut.

Most of all, I want to thank our readers for your continued support, well wishes and friendship. You are the reason for our ultimate acceptance and success as we continue to be: “Your #1 Source from Mid-Ohio to The North Coast!”
