Our interview with prog-rocker and keyboard wizard, Erik Norlander was our most viewed music article of 2014. The Rust Belt Chronicles was the first world-wide media organization to announce the upcoming tour of Uriah Heep and one of the first to preview the video of Bad Remedy.

The Rust Belt Chronicles has had the privilege of covering and interviewing several artists from many genres of music . We’ve enjoyed our time and the opportunity to bring our readers insight to new artists and established bands on a local and national level.

Our photographers, Joe Banker , Kelly Francis and Joe Kleon have provided exceptional photos, articles and assisted with their professional expertise. Bethany Brewer and Lori Demeretz covered several “Bands Of The Week” and provided some memorable moments during the year.

The Rust Belt Chronicles has covered countless events throughout our summer months and perhaps has had the most comprehensive coverage of Halloween events by any Ohio publication. Our staff of: Bianca Lee, Lori Demeretz, Debora Holcum, Rachel Montgomery and Helen Contrares have brought you articles and photos from some of the biggest events in Columbus, Cleveland, Akron and Sandusky, Ohio. Paris Bihari was kind enough to provide all of the stunning photos from  the Miss Ohio 2014.

The Black Veil Brides at The HOB in Cleveland, Ohio.

My biggest surprise of 2014 happened at that Cleveland Agora during the “Black Veil Brides” show. The line of attendees stretched from the front door to the rear of the Agora. Security saw me outside the  main doors and asked me who I was? When I explained I was there to shoot the bands and who I was, they confirmed that I was- “on the list” without checking the press list. These guys were familiar with our work.

I was allowed to enter before all of the crowd, once the doors opened. Later that night during the Black Veil Brides show the lead singer thanked several media organizations in Cleveland and lastly he thanked – The Rust Belt Chronicles for our promotion.

It was a breakthrough moment for me knowing we are making a difference.

Happy Days Indeed!

As we close out- 2014 I must thank my staff for their tireless dedication and support!

And our readers, who without you- we wouldn’t exist as a publication!

I wish each and every one of you a Happy New Year with success beyond measure!

Best,

Jim Carver
