Coming off a short spring tour in Europe with Iron Maiden, Shinedown has launched a headlining summer tour opening July 1st in Milwaukee, WI. Coming to Canton on July 17th, to the 1500 seat Canton Palace Theater, Shinedown promises to deliver a very powerful but intimate show to the sold-out crowd.

Shinedown continues to support their late 2015 Threat to Survival which has produced several singles including recent favorite in heavy rotation “How Did You Love”. In a recent radio interview singer Brent Smith has hinted at new music for the next Shinedown release, that may be in the works after the summer tour.

Lacey Sturm from Homestead , Florida, is the co-founder and former singer/songwriter for the hard rock band Flyleaf.  She will be supporting her 2016 release Life Screams which has produced four singles to date including the title track. In February of 2016 Sturm became the first solo female artist to top the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart with her debut release.

Formed in 2001 by Singer Brent Smith, Shinedown from Jacksonville, Florida, has sold more than ten million albums worldwide, with eleven number one singles on Billboards Mainstream Rock charts, third behind the mighty Van Halen and Three Days Grace. The group has release five albums: Leave a Whisper (2003), Us and Them (2005), The Sound of Madness (2008), Amaryllis (2012) and Threat to Survival (2015).

The Historical Canton Palace Theater will be shaking to its rafters the evening of the 17th.  Shinedown singer Brent Smith often opens their shows with a promise that the band is there thanks to the fans and there to work hard for the fans. They never disappoint, delivering a high octane in your face dose of hard Rock and Roll. Long after the last notes are played, those lucky enough to have secured one of the 1500 tickets for the show, will still be jamming in their memories of the night they spent with Shinedown in the intimate atmosphere of the historical theater.

Rust Belt Chronicles staff members Shannon Hamilton and Mac will be in attendance to cover this rockin event at the theater. Give em a shout out when you see em!
