Round #3 “The Battle of The Bands” at The Whiskey Warehouse Bar & Grill for Ink In The Clink 2017

The “Battle of The Bands” at the Whiskey Warehouse Bar & Grill resumed on Friday, May 12th for Round #3.  All of the bands were competing for a chance appear at the “The Final Battle” on June 3rd. Three-winners out of the final battle will be awarded the opportunity to perform on the main stage at Ink In The Clink 2017 Tattoo and Music Festival. The contestants on this evenings schedule included: Sourblood, The Battle, After The Ashes and Bittersweet Revenge.

Erica M. Lenhoff interviewed the bands available after the show (in the early morning hours) with our “Rock Moment” live-streaming video promotion segment. The Rust Belt Chronicles would like to thank Mastermind Studios for the availability of the shooting location, JNR/Vision and the bands that allowed us this courtesy after the show! Sourblood

Sourblood opened the night of competition with their Metal Core/Baller Core/Mountain Metal tunes. The band is from Columbus, Ohio.  They gave a very powerful perfomance and attracted a crowd after they had just begun playing. They gave it their all and it was a fantastic set to start off the night.

The Battle

What more fitting for The Battle of the Bands than to have a band named The Battle!  As soon as they began we were all blown away by their original, unique musical compositions.  What set them apart was that everything they played was pure instrumental.  From the moment they began they had everyone’s attention because their sound was very different and the lack of vocals was at first shocking but as they played you realised that in this case vocals were not necessary.  What they brought to the stage was heavily intense and captivating.

Bittersweet Revenge

Bittersweet Revenge hit us hard and heavy.  These guys reside in Cleveland, Ohio and pack a punch onstage! The band as a whole brought such fun and energy to the stage. During one of their rock sessions Marc, the lead vocalist had departed from the stage and belted out within the crowd interacting closely and were greatly impressive.  The guys put on a fantastic set.

After The Ashes

After The Ashes is definitely a Metalcore band, who hails from Bellevue, Ohio. This young band leaves no-holds barred as they bring the attitude and spunk to their performance. With two vocalists often sharing the spotlight, there’s never a dull moment with these men. Their sound was solid and the energy was high ending the night with yet again a great Battle for the books!
