(L-R): Mick Box, Bernie Shaw and Trevor Bolder.

The last edition Rock Lines, we reported Uriah Heep bassist, Trevor Bolder, has taken a leave of absence from the band due to a serious surgery to remove Cancer from his pancreas. The good news is Trevor is actually ahead of schedule and may return to the Heep line-up prior to the Download Festival on June 14th.

The bad news……

Uriah Heep vocalist, Bernie Shaw, is taking a leave from the band for a few weeks in May to undergo a routine medical procedure.

The good news…..

Photo used courtesy of Uriahheep.comFormer lead singer of Uriah Heep, John Lawton will be taking Bernie’s place during the upcoming tour of The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland in May.

John Lawton replaced David Byron in 1976 through 1979. The band will be replacing some of their newer material with songs recorded during John Lawton’s era with the band.

Rock Lines wishes- Trevor Bolder and Bernie Shaw a speedy recovery!

Until next week, stay tuned or stay in tune.
