Please Welcome Our Photojournalist- Carly Bronikowski!

The Rust Belt Chronicles has grown considerably in our nearly two-years of existence.  Obtaining  journalists has been strangely difficult within the Akron/Cleveland area. When I initiated this journey this was the last market area I thought we would have difficulty finding journalists. I knew qualified people were out there  and it was just a matter of finding them.  An individual with the ability to provide her writing and photographic abilities is a coup in the media world!

As I attend shows, the business side of things are often as important as the show itself. The people I am able to connect with, information discovered and people I meet are an unexpected surprise. Carly Bronikowski is one of those individuals. Her ambition, desire and passion make her a natural fit for The Rust Belt Chronicles. The addition of Carly with our own Michele Loparo gives us the flexibility within our coverage of the Akron/Cleveland area and expansion into video productions.

It is my pleasure to announce our latest photojournalist: Carly Bronikowski!

CarlyBMy name is Carly Bronikowski and I am an aspiring photojournalist currently taking courses as a sophomore at Kent State University. Residing in Cleveland, Ohio (The Rock ‘N Roll Capital of the World) throughout my life influenced my exposure to both local and nationally-recognized artists and bands. Although my taste in music is rather eclectic, I consider classic rock my favorite genre. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to incorporate my passion for music, photography, and writing into my contributions to The Rust Belt Chronicles. Aside from those passions I am enthusiastic about travelling, being outdoors in nature, and road tripping to places of interest with friends and quality music.

My interest in photography in high school had sparked my drive to pursue that hobby and turn it into a career that gives me the ability to cover impactful stories via photographs. Performances by talented artists tend to be some of my most cherished experiences and I hope to share these experiences with fellow music-lovers. Accompanied by my camera and a notebook at all times, I can be seen at an array of concert venues absorbing every sound and visual detail. I strive to provide the RBC audience with truthful and engaging coverage of an array of concerts in Northeast Ohio!
