A Killer’s Confession Rocked The Winchester Music Tavern! “A Very Killer’s Christmas” Tour is NOW.

The Winchester Music Tavern is held within the heart of Lakewood, Ohio and it played host to a hard hitting show this past Saturday.  The venue holds character with its VIP room, large stage and open floors.  It had cast a navy glow upon anticipating faces as the night was about to begin. Conversations were made before the show and fans were united with other fans.  I learned that there were people from West Virginia and Pennsylvania that made the trip just for this particular night.  Merch booths were already hopping before the show and before we new it the blue glow of the room went out and a golden glow hit the stage.

Demons Within, a powerful, hard hitting metal band based out of Cleveland, OH took the stage and set the night off right.  Frontman J.C.B grabbed our full attention by releasing bellowing vocals as he paced the stage to the steadiness of the drums which were raged upon by bandmate, Retribution.  Guitarists Shaffer and Desolation along with bassist, Ant contributed quick and heavy chords that brought the metal message and executed it flawlessly. After witnessing them live I had to find them on Spotify and quickly recognized which songs I loved best. My recommendation would be “Kingdom of Dust” if you’re looking for a song to melt your face off. It’s no wonder why they were awarded Best Local Band in 2013 and I look forward to experiencing them again.

Second to grace the stage and serve as direct support to A Killer’s Confession was none other than Alone and Waiting.  The image they hold is a mummified zombie-esque appearance where each member was wrapped from head to toe in gauze. Baby dolls wrapped the same were on the stage as well as mummified skulls. Something quite different and intriguing.  They gave a hard hitting set encouraging the audience and intitiating the mosh pit to sequence. Frontman Dunk stopped the show for a tribute to Waylon Reavis lead of AKC.  By removing the wraps from his face he revealed replicated paint of which Waylon used to wear in his former endeavors with Mushroomhead. Waylon came on stage and spoke kind words towards the tribute followed by encouraging the bands, crowd and expectations for the night. Alone and Waiting also hosted a drinking competition on stage between two women who tied the beer chug.  Each won a band shirt as reward. The band rocked out an eventful set and had the crowd ready for AKC.

A Killer’s Confession released their album Unbroken this past spring and have been forming their image and evolving continuously. This particular night AKC hit the stage with a force. All dressed in new attire, members wore black T-shirts versus the button-downs and ties that they originally presented themselves in.  Frontman Waylon Reavis made the announcement that the Two brand new singles I Wish” and “Angel on the Outside” would debut live for the very first time on this night. I tell you evolution is happening within this band and it’s exciting to watch. Members JP Cross-Bass, Jon Dale-Drums, Matt Trumpy-Guitar together blasted our minds and gave us a perfect set. Several favorites off Unbroken were performed and when the time came for the new singles Waylon absolutely blew us away. The direction in style and sound are both refreshing and captivating.

A Very Killer’s Christmas Tour is now in motion and the guys are traveling all December. Supporting bands on the Tour are Awake at Last and You Are A Toy. We have Two more chances to catch them in Ohio! We will have the opportunity again at The Empire Concert Club in Akron, Ohio on Friday, December 22nd!  On the Columbus spectrum, Seven Devils Entertainment will serve as host to A Killer’s Confession at  Alrosa Villa on Saturday, December 23rd!

Come on out and get a glimpse of what you missed!
