Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience Docks at The Hard Rock Rocksino on Sunday

The roar of a Zeppelin will be arriving at the Hard Rock Rocksino on Sunday, December, 10th. No, not the flying type, but rather something more explosive – the mighty Classic Rock music of Led Zeppelin. Manning the helm of the massive epic hard rock machine will be Jason Bonham. Yes, the Son of Led Zeppelin’s famous drummer will be giving fans the closest thing to Led Zeppelin you will ever see “live” with Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience.
This concert is brought to you by our friends at Live Nation.

The performance will feature the music from Led Zeppelin’s catalog of their incredible iconic repertoire. Not only will we be treated to “Good Times, Bad Times” with the awesome bass drum triplets from Jason (his Dad made famous in 1968), (hopefully), the  time-warping “Kashmir” and the brilliant “Misty Mountain Hop” with its monstrous drumming chops.

The drumming technique of John Bonham took the music industry by storm beginning in 1968 with his ability to incorporate time and space within his playing style. Whether it was seemingly playing slightly behind the beat, incorporating his thunder from his physique build onto the calf skins or his onstage drum solos with his bare hands; John left us awestruck and wondering what he would do to top his last recording. While some of those famous drum fills were borrowed from jazz drummers of the past, it was his power of his right foot on that large bass drum that separated him from the boys.

John Bonham didn’t need two bass drums to perform his artistry. He set the bar high. Drummers such as Mike Portnoy, Neil Peart and Steve Smith regard him as a influence on their decision to play the drums. Those instincts have been proudly maintained in the family bloodlines with the same fevered thunder delivered by Jason Bonham!

Jason Bonham began playing the drums at an early age thanks to the influence of his famous Dad. Jason’s career took off with his own band “Bonham” in 1989 with the heavily rotated MTV hit “Wait For You” and its Zepplinesque-like flair in voice and music. I was fortunate to catch Jason and his band opening for Emerson, Lake and Palmer in Las Vegas and his charisma and syncopation immediately told me he’s “A Chip Off the Old Block” of his Fathers, influence, style and shares a powerful right foot!

Mr. Bonham’s career has found him performing as an  integral part of many bands over the years, from UFO, Foreigner, Heart, California Breed, Black Country Communion, The Circle and admirably filling the drum throne for his Father at the Led Zeppelin Reunion Concert in 2007.

We may have seen the last of Led Zeppelin – but on Sunday, December 1oth, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience lands at the Hard Rock Rocksino and hard rock history soars again!
