The Whiskey Warehouse Bar & Grill featured another great night of entertainment as (HED) P.E., Motograter, The World I Knew and From Ashes assaulted our senses in fine metal fashion. This would be the first time for national acts, (HED) P.E. and Motograter appearing at the Whiskey Warehouse Bar & Grill and we’re sure it won’t be their last gig in Mansfield. With Motograter and The World I Knew on the bill at Ink In The Clink 2017 in just a few weeks away, this would be a small preview of what’s to come in July 14th, 15th and 16th at the annual Tattoo and Music Festival.

*The Rust Belt Chronicles would like to thank (HED)P.E. and Motograter for allowing our Erica M. Lynhoff and Shannon Hamilton to interview various band members in our Rock Moment, which can be seen on our Facebook page.

From Ashes were the openers and unfortunately after suffering a technical glitch the bands set was cut short due to contractual obligations. I arrived late and missed their show. I was told the band performed admirably once the “glitch’ was worked out. This would have been my first glimpse of new guitarist, Nick Rock onstage with the band but as luck would have it; that wasn’t meant to be for me on this particular evening.

The World I Knew

The World I Knew returned to the the Whiskey Warehouse Bar & Grill from Cincinnati, Ohio after competing in “The Battle Of The Bands” the  previous week at the Whiskey. Lead vocalist, Wesley Merritt gave an amazing performance with his lung power and athletic presence onstage. This band was amazing with their music resonating loud and clear. Although this evening wasn’t a competition the band gave us their professional and tight musical performance.  The World I Knew were one of the winners of “The Battle Of The Bands” and we look forward to seeing them on Friday, July 14th at Ink In The Clink 2017!

Motograter

Motograter nearly shook the venue apart between their music, stage presence and attitude. The band is not for the squeamish-hearted as they rock and rolled their way through their setlist. Armed with body paint and other oddities, these men know how to obliterate the masses with metal music! The staunch poses between band members and the fans definitely give you an eerie feeling at times as they romp through their fiery presentation of tight musical compositions. The bands tour will return to Mansfield, Ohio on Saturday, July 15th at Ink In The Clink 2017!

(HED) P.E.

(HED) P.E. continued to blast the fans with their ferocious setlist. These guys don’t waste anytime getting the audience involved between their music and resounding vocal delivery. The band was tight as the drummer and bassist exploited their instruments effortlessly, while the guitarist shredded his heart out! The vocals of Jared ‘Jahred’ Gomes were Hip-Hop and Metal mixed with dynamic with flavor, passion and tastefully delivered. (HED) P.E. are certainly a powerful force as the fans cheered the band onas they romped through the genres of musical entrenchment!
