Breaking Benjamin, RED and Mangrenade Rocked it at Express Live!

Breaking Benjamin at ExpressLive!

With clear skies, the smell of pizza in the air from the stands and a cold one in hand everyone gathered around the stage at ExpressLive! in Columbus, OH.  Upon entering, security and staff were on it and organized providing a fun and safe night as we all entered the venue.  The field was swarmed with fans awaiting the sounds and performance of Breaking Benjamin, RED and Mangrenade.

Mangrenade came onstage like a explosion, blasting their original material loud and clear!  The Rock, Alternative band hails from Cincinnati, Ohio.  Although the crowd was still arriving at the venue, these guys didn’t mind as they let it all fly.  The short set was inspiring with crispy vocals, mesmerizing music and a superb stage show.  The RGB Industry recording artists just might be the biggest thing from Cincinnati since Skyline Chili.

The band was jumpin’ from the first chord to the last. Despite the cold weather, the band never missed a beat or severed off-key.  These guys rock!  We are looking forward to hearing Mangrenade again.  I highly recommend them to you!

Second and also second to none we were rocked by RED.  Formed in Nashville, Tennessee, back in 2002 RED has never disappointed fans with their albums or live performances.  They have rocked several of us through our teen years and it was an experience seeing them take the stage.

Lead vocalist Michael Barnes put his heart into his performance as he does each and every time.  Fans fed off of his energy.  Barnes jumped off stage and into the pit to reach out to the crowd.  Lead guitarist Anthony Armstrong and Bassist Randy Armstrong were fantastic crossing the stage and rocking away while supplying great backing vocals. Dan Johnson our great drummer also recognised as the drummer from FLAW lead us into each song with soul hitting beats.  Johnson kept our hearts pumping to each hit on the kit and we were happy to see him live once again this year.

RED performed several hits off of their multiple albums such as; Death of Me, Feed the Machine as well as Already Over.  They ended their set with Breath Into Me which had everyone singing along and applauding to the end.  RED was an experience to remember and a fantastic opening to Breaking Benjamin.

Breaking Benjamin

It was time, the night was still clear with chilled breezes sending shivers down spines just as the anticipation and excitement was setting in.  Chanting began and whistles carried through the air summoning our band to join us.  The lights went up and rock began.

Lead vocalist Benjamin Burnley hit the stage and fans went wild.  Guitarists Jasen Rauch on lead and Keith Wallen on rhythm along with Aaron Bruch on Bass started us off with “So Cold” and rocked us away. Drummer Shaun Foist took force upon the drums and had each of us head banging to each song.

Our Platinum and Gold status band hailing from Wilkes-Barr Pennsylvania did NOT fail at making the night incredible.  With hits off their Five studio albums we heard songs such as; Angels Fall, Sooner than Later, Ashes of Eden and The Diary of Jane.  There wasn’t a single dull moment and their set was anything but ordinary.

Breaking Benjamin was an experience of a lifetime and I highly recommended seeing them if you ever get the chance.

Peace be with you follow rockers.
