Bernie Kosar & Greg Harris Join Excellent Lineup for Third Season of Cleveland Stories

In the spring of 2016 Music Box Supper Club launched a new series on Wednesday nights called Cleveland Stories Dinner Parties. This unique series brought Cleveland’s history and dining to attendees, with some of the most prominent story tellers in the city to share the untold stories of Cleveland’s past. With with the help of Western Reserve Historical Society’s Cleveland History Center, Teaching Cleveland, and Cleveland’s most sought-after storytellers, Music Box has helped to tell the story of Northeast Ohio for thousands of Clevelanders.

This season, Music Box is especially excited about the addition of great Cleveland storytellers to its lineup. Two of the most exciting include former Cleveland Browns quarterback, Bernie Kosar, and the President of the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame, Greg Harris. Kosar will be joining the series just days after the release of his first autobiography release and will reveal all about his time with the Browns, his position as leader on the field and his love of the game.

Kosar’s autobiography “Learning to Scramble” is available through Cleveland Landmark Press beginning September 10th.

Returning for his second storytelling session, Greg Harris will help to thrill audiences and fans of all things rock n’ roll. Greg Harris was the very first storyteller in the first season of Cleveland Stories Dinner Parties and helped to get the series off to a rocking start.  In this session he will discuss the past, present and future of the Rock Hall, the bands, and more.

Since the launch of this successful series, Cleveland Stories has returned for two additional seasons and will be making its return to Music Box Supper Club on Wednesday’s this fall starting in September. This series will continue to educate and entertain attendees, while bringing to life fun, different, and exciting topics each week. Each session is free to attend, and will also include the opportunity to order from a story themed three-course $20 prix fixed menu.

Cleveland Stories kick off on Wednesday, September 13th, with the help of author James Renner. He will be discussing true stories from his novel The Serial Killer’s Apprentice: And Other True Stories of Cleveland’s Most Intriguing Unsolved Crimes. The evening will feature a thrilling themed menu that includes Dahmers least favorite soup, Braised pork “torso,” and “Boston Strangler” Cream Pie.

Doors for Cleveland Stories open at 5:00 p.m. with stories beginning promptly at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free, but reservations are required.

Mike Belkin has become synonymous with Cleveland rock n’ roll. In this special edition of Cleveland Stories, Belkin tells stories about some of the most significant concerts to happen in Cleveland over the last 50 years.

10/11 – Rock Hall – Yesterday, Today, & Tomorrow – Greg Harris
Back for his second storytelling session, Greg Harris, President of the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame, talks the past, present and future of the Rock Hall, the bands, and more.      

10/18 – Rise & Fall of the Cleveland Mafia – Rick Porrello            
Back by popular demand, Rock Porrello returns to tell stories about Cleveland’s fascinating history with the mafia.

10/25 – Cleveland Ghost Stories – Charles Cassidy + William Krejci
A ghost’s work is never done. For the skeptic, the seeker, the storyteller, and the weekend spook-hunter, learn why the “Best things in death are right here in Cleveland.”

11/8 – Strange Tales from Ohio History – Neil Zurcher    
From the author of the popular offbeat travel guide Ohio Oddities, Neil Zurcher tells the equally odd tales of Ohio’s most remarkable people, places, and events.

11/15 – Cleveland Cops – The Real Stores They Tell Each Other – John Tidyman
An intimate look at the men and women in blue, Author John H. Tidyman shares the true stories that Cleveland’s finest share with one another.

11/29 –  My life in comedy – from Cleveland to Hollywood – Lou Santini 
Cleveland native Lou Santini shares how his journey in comedy began, brought him to L.A., and where it’s taking him.

12/6 – Lisa’s Legacy Trilogy – the full Lisa comic story trilogy – Tom Batiuk
Enjoy the stories behind the beloved comic strip characters, Les & Lisa, from the creator of the Funky Winkerbean comics, Tom Batiuk.

12/13 – Millionaire’s Row at the Holidays & Other Stories – Dan Ruminski   
Back by popular demand, Dan Ruminski gives audience members a glimpse into Millionaires’ Row and Cleveland’s greatness in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
