About Marie Thompson

Marie Thompson is a Detroit native. Her love for Ohio’s independent rock scene has led her to find some unique and ear-catching bands. She enjoys interviewing musicians and bringing out their more personal sides. Marie has an eye for photographing the Great North American Rock Star (a rare and elusive species) as well. In fact, she decided to work for The Rust Belt Chronicles because of the freedom to explore, the respect, and the diversity of experiences to come with RBC. When she’s not cleaning her camera, Marie enjoys spending time with her awesome family and three kooky K9s. She also enjoys kayaking, disc golf, and vintage treasure hunting.
