A Night at Sea with Brave The Sea, Black Coffee, and Causeways

Brave The Sea, Black Coffee, Causeways

Talk about a night to remember! Three bands, Brave The Sea, Black Coffee, and Causeways are rocking it out at Tony’s Bar in Newark, Ohio on January 27th, so grab your friends and get ready to make port!

Brave The Sea boasts a wonderful mix of Irish Punk/Celtic Rock/Folk/Metal, and they put on a wonderfully entertaining show! I saw them for the first time this past Veterans Day at the Alrosa Villa during a music benefit concert, and I really enjoyed their eclectic style of music! How many rock concerts have you been to that feature a guy on an accordion and another shredding on a mandolin… you will enjoy, I promise!!

Brave The Sea will be having a MUSIC VIDEO recorded during their set so arrive early for these darling pirates need to see ALL of YOUR smiling faces there in the crowd. Don’t forget to dress like a pirate for the occasion too!

Black Coffee

Then there’s Black Coffee founded in Feb 2017, these guys already have over 1,400 likes on Facebook and are growing in popularity at a very fast pace! These guys are amazing, and I can only describe them as a “must see to believe it” type band.

I saw Black Coffee for the first time at the big NYE show with Bobaflex at the Alrosa Villa recently, and I was totally blown away. They have a very classic rock sound with influences such as AC/DC, Van Halen, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, and I’m here to say that the leader singer/bass player Ehab Omran, WAILS on that microphone!!!

Causeways are a younger generation and have an awesome punk rock sound with an upbeat group of musicians who just want to have fun and get their music out there for everyone to enjoy! Look out for that bass player though, he might shoot you a funny face every now and again!!!

Jaime Courtney About Jaime Courtney

Hello! I am Jaime “James” Courtney and I am from small town Bremen, Ohio, but currently rock it out in Columbus! I am a Web Graphic Design student at DeVry University and am concentrating on Multi-Media Design and Development. When I’m not doing that, I am living up the night life taking pictures and writing reviews in and around the Columbus/Central Ohio area, because local music is amazing! I hang out with a lot of the local bands in Columbus and have made many wonderful friends in the music community. I have also had the opportunity to photograph such bands as 10 Years, Bobaflex, and am hoping to make that list even bigger!!! Graphic design and making websites is fun, but photography is my true passion… combine that with an intense love of music of all flavors (I also sing, play piano, guitar, bass, and am learning drums!), I hope to someday photograph some of my favorite artists and possibly travel the world to do so!
